ST. GEORGE – A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital Friday evening after being involved in a two-car accident on St. George Boulevard.

At about 5:30 p.m., eastbound traffic was backed up through the St. George Boulevard and 1000 East intersection. A woman traveling westbound in a white passenger car was attempting to turn left onto 1000 East on a blinking yellow light when a vehicle in the inside eastbound lane stopped to allow her through, St. George Police Officer Brett Huish said.

“That created a visibility problem, so she didn’t yield to the oncoming traffic. She couldn’t see it coming,” Huish said.

The woman ended up colliding with a smaller, compact-style car heading westbound in the outside lane. The smaller car was driven by a pregnant woman, St. George Fire Chief Robert Stoker said. He said the woman didn’t sustain any major injuries and was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center to be checked out due to some preexisting conditions. The driver of the white passenger car was unharmed.

The white passenger car was inoperable and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the white passenger car was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic, Huish said.

Wow Tsanabia, you have some really severe anger issues. I would strongly recommend you get your life straight before you end up in the slammer.

Isn’t it against the law to stop in traffic to let someone in? I have that happen to me all the time when turning right out of the post office on Riverside Dr. I would never go because I can’t always see around the car that wants to let me in. (&I always thought it was illegal.) They get peived at me because I won’t go.

Neither woman was paying attention more then likely. Typical of st george drivers. I was cutoff just this morning. when i pullled up next to him at the light, i saw that not only was he texting and driving but he also had headphones in his ears. smh. 🙁
