Art in the Courtyard will take place from 1-4 p.m. on March 16. This semiannual showcase, held in the courtyard of the City Commons Building, provides an immersive experience celebrating the vibrant local arts scene.

Red Cliff Gallery Director Susan Plouzek said Art in the Courtyard is a celebration of creativity and community spirit, bringing together talented artists and enthusiastic patrons. Attendees can expect to explore a diverse range of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry and more, all crafted by local artisans.

“Art in the Courtyard is a social event that is fun and casual, compared to our gallery that is more structured,” Plouzek said. “Artists come to sell artwork, but also prints and some crafty items that wouldn’t be in the Gallery.”

One of the hallmarks of Art in the Courtyard is its lively atmosphere, enhanced by live music performances that will fill the air throughout the event. The music adds an extra layer of enjoyment for both artists and guests, creating a dynamic backdrop for artistic exploration and interaction.

To ensure that attendees don’t miss out on this cultural extravaganza, the organizers have arranged for A-frame sandwich board advertisements to be displayed along 200 East on the day of the event. These eye-catching signs will guide art enthusiasts to the gallery, where they can indulge in an afternoon of artistic discovery and community camaraderie.

Art in the Courtyard isn’t just a showcase of talent; it’s also an opportunity for patrons to support local artists and acquire unique pieces of art at reasonable prices. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-time buyer, the event offers something for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.

For those interested in learning more about Art in the Courtyard and other upcoming events at Red Cliff Gallery, additional information can be found on the gallery’s website or by contacting the gallery directly.
