ST. GEORGE — St George officially begins the Christmas season each year the day after Thanksgiving by turning on the thousands of Christmas lights on the grounds of the St George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This year’s lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday. With beautiful Christmas music, the short program precedes everyone joining in to sing “Silent Night” which is when the lights are turned on. All are invited to bundle up and come join their neighbors of many faiths to welcome Christmas with music and lights.
