CONTRIBUTED CONTENT — InfoWest – The Internet People, a St. George-based internet company, has completed the acquisition of the SunRiver Fiber Network from Cable Systems of Nevada. The transaction includes all fiber internet assets along with the internet and VoIP subscriber agreements.
The acquisition expands InfoWest’s current fiber footprint in St. George by including the SunRiver St. George community of nearly 1,000 customers. Former SunRiver customers of Cable Systems will be automatically moved to InfoWest and will soon have enhanced speeds of 1 gigabit per second, 2 Gbps and 5 Gbps available to them. Customers with Cable Systems TV services will continue to receive service from Cable Systems.
This acquisition helps further expand InfoWest’s fiber footprint in Southern Utah and adds to their growing network of gigabit-speed internet in St. George.
